Establishment and History of Nilai University:

Nilai University was established in 1998 with a vision to make Malaysia a regional hub for educational excellence. It began as a university college, and in 2012, it was invited by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education to become a full-fledged university. Admission Requirements for International Students:

Admission requirements vary depending on the program and academic level. However, general requirements include:

  • Academic Requirements:
    • Foundation Programs: Successful completion of secondary education with at least 5 credits, including passes in Mathematics and English.
    • Diploma Programs: A minimum of 3 credits in relevant subjects.
    • Bachelor's Degree Programs: High school certificate or equivalent (e.g., STPM with minimum 2Cs, A-Levels with a CGPA of 2.00).
    • Postgraduate Programs (Master's/PhD): A relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree with a good academic standing.
  • English Language Requirements:
    • Foundation Programs: IELTS 5.5.
    • Bachelor's Programs: IELTS 6.0.
    • Master's and PhD Programs: IELTS 6.5.
    • Other equivalent tests such as TOEFL or PTE may be accepted.
  • Required Documents:
    • Two sets of photocopy of your passport (minimum 2 years validity).
    • Certified true copies of secondary school certificates or previous academic qualifications and transcripts.
    • 8 recent passport-sized photographs (white background).
    • A completed Health Declaration Form.
    • Application fee and student visa fee.

  • Postgraduate Programs (Master's/PhD): Range from MYR 17,560 to MYR 28,100 for the entire program.
